well i was going to give you guys this big long post about my trip to maw maws yesterday and my grocery shopping today but.....................................................
i went and burned my self so it will have to wait for another day . sorry.
she's off to learn how to uses her left hand.
As promised this post will be full of all the loveliness I've been up to these days . For starters here is Justin's quilt that I mentioned in my last few posts.
Yes,yes it is a rather man-ly color scheme I know, but remember it was FOR my man. ......although in the last two days since I finished him, he has been enjoying a little "brake'n it in" my moi! He is quit a cozy little fellow, perfect for laying about on the couch with a good movie and some good wine. But, while I am very glad to have him join our little family, his birth has all but done in my little sewing machine, she is still breathing, but the labor took a toll on her petite frame and we'll just have to wait and see for know. Hopefully she'll last me for my next few projects. I have living room curtains, pillow covers , and slipcovers for the head and foot boards on my bed planned out for myself, but more importantly i have an order due before Saturday!
This pretty little patch work is more my mom-in-law,Marla. They will be the curtains in the bathrooms at her new venture "shop" a.k.a "spiritual house of prayer" She tells me it's not ,church or a part of church, it's just a place for praise and worship . 
Here is the lamp I told you about . Pretty huh! that fabric is what my living room curtains are gonna be . I got it over at urban outfitters on the clearance wall :) happy me 
lastly here is some layouts I've done lately . i just realized i have not been posting them over here like i used to, so I'm gonna try to remember to put them over here . anyway i guess I've procrastinated long enough those curtains are not gonna make them selves you know .

well, i never thought I'd get here to the big 1-0-0, but it's done so.....whew!
anywho.............. I've had my self plenty busy. how about you?
so far, just today, i have remodeled an old dusty lamp with a good shape, finished quilting Justin's quilt and have started putting the binding together, dyed some linens a lovely shade of yellow, finished up the wash, did the dishes, and almost burned down the kitchen trying to make something to eat.
the rest of the week looks plenty fun filled also. Marla has asked me to make her some curtains for the bathrooms at "shop" on top of the giant bulletin board she asked me to work on, which all needs to be done by Saturday i believe, plus she wants to go to mawmaws one day this week, so I'm hoping we go because there are some great thrift shops up there with lots of old lady stuff that is just waiting to be found and turned in to young and trendy lady stuff.
i'll be back some time this week for a good long update post. and hopfully i'll have some pictures to go along with it if i can get my digi cam to work for me. lord knows i have plenty to share!
Justin was off on Tuesday so after voting and dropping of my good friend Christina (she hit a beaver a week or so ago,so her car is in the shop and she needed a ride to the polls) , we went shopping! First to Goodwill to pick out the fabrics for his quilt that I'm making for him.
Let me just say that while the stuff he picked out is totally muted and fully on the masculine side of the world for me and my taste (lots of tweed,wool,and dark colors all from the men's section), I'm really happy with what we got and I'm happy that once it's finished it will be a part of our family for many, many years to come. It took me all day yesterday to pull it all apart, and now I'm washing the fabric to get rid of the bits left from ripping seams then, I'll iron and start cutting. I'm thinking about doing it in triangles instead of squares this time, and I want to add just a hint of femininity to it so I need to look for something in my piles that will match nicely, oh and Justin wants me to try my hand at hand quilting it together. I can't wait to show everyone but I'm thinking it will be a week or so before you'll get any sort of a peek. Oh well on to the rest of my post!
After goodwill we hit the salvation army. Normally I hate the SA we have here in Saint Marys, i can never find anything, but boy do I have new eyes for them now after looking through the kids section!
I don't think .75cent has ever made me happier. The cash register is '74 fisher price and the little metal bell still rings and all the buttons and the drawer still work, The pull along lace up shoe I'm not sure on the year, but it's wood so thats super cool and it says "an original fisher price toy" on the front. both are missing all of their little bits and bobs but that ok because the art work is so beautiful, and I'm not above a good search for parts. "Up and Away" is third edition copyright 1963. The art work inside is amazing and the book is in great condition for being as old as my mom!
after the fun shopping was done we headed out to our local oriental store to pick up a bag of rice before heading back home for a night of cook'n and love'n.
At the oriental store we had picked up some black glutinous rice along with our normal jasmine, after the owner told us this recipe!
add 1/2 cup black glutinous (after soaking for around 30min.) to 1 1/2 cup jasmine
and 2 3/4 cup water for purple rice! It does not really taste any different from plain rice, but the black rice adds a little crunch(in a good way, like wild rice, not the under cooked rice way) and makes the rice clump really well, great for eating with chop sticks! We will totally be doing this one way more often, and I think it would be a really fun food to make for kids!

1. I am very, very, shy. yes, people this is the truth, and a lot of times it's taken for snobbiness because I don't say much and I have a tendency to hide behind Justin. I'm not a snob and I'm not a bitch! or anything else of that nature. I am just nervous that I'll say something stupid and I'll look like a dork or an idiot.
2. I don't think I make the best first impressions on people. Because of #1 up there, I think most people don't like me at first, but those that do end up sticking around and letting me come out of my shell end up loving me.
3.My husband and I have only been apart 2 or 3 weekend in the past 51/2 years since we meet.
4.My mom is a graphic designer, and when I was growing up she was super crafty. so it's no wonder to, well, anyone were I get it from.
5. When I was like 4, I was playing with my Babysitter and brother in our living room. My brother was the cowboy, the BS was the momma horse and I was the little baby horse and we were going around the coffee table. I took the corner to fast and bashed my front teeth in! My mom had to pull them back forward and then take me to the ER to have them properly set back in place. One sits slitly turned inward now.
6. I meet my husband when I was 19.

I love all 4 of my dogs equally, but Millie is special because she was an engagement present from Justin and I got to picked her out, and Winnipeg is special because she is the first dog that I ever trained by myself and I picked her out, too. Rocco and Tater, I love them to death they are good boys, but they are Justins' boys: rough playing, stinky, and dirty, oh and to big to be laying on my lap and on my couch. Millie and Winnipeg are little and pretty bulldog girls.
8.At this time in my life, I have decided to be a soul scrapper.What this means is not even thinking about design teams and getting published, just scrapbooking because I love it and only when I feel like it. After working in my lss for a year doing their store displays , being dt coordinator, and teaching classes all on top of working there, too. I just decided that was not what I wanted scrapbooking to be for me. I want it to be about me and what I want, and want to remember for the rest of my life, and to make it special for my family. NOT deadlines, themes that don't apply to my life, materials that I don't really like but have to use, and pleasing the masses with something that is supposed to be just for me, so someone else can sell more product. No, that way of scrapbooking is not for me. I'd much rather do it my way and if you like it then I thank you, it really does mean the world to me that you like my work, and if you don't thats fine to, it's your right not to like it, just as much as it is my right to tell you to screw off and leave me alone.
9.My favorite magazine is Country Living.
10.I'm ready to start having babies, but my husband is not. So, sometimes I feel really sad about it even though I feel like I should listen to my husband. He really does have our best interests in mind and his arguments are sound, but sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants.
she showed up today and decided to kick my ass! yes i said ass..... there is no nicer way to put it this bitch is kicking my ass! and i feel compleately helpless. i can hardly move. i feel it all in my hips and down my legs, and my ovaries! i feel them cramping up like some little bitches, making me feel like i have to pee every 5 minutes and then there is only like one drop of pee. this SUCKS!

Justin fell in love with them a while back when they played regularly at the Green Turtle Tavern, and got me in to them also. Charlotte had moved to Texas some months back, so we where so excited when they put out the bulletin that they would be back here in Georgia around his birthday time. So yesterday was the day, Justin happened to get a lucky day off, so we got ourselves dressed up for a night out with good music and headed up to the Oyster Shack (it was a really cool pirate pub, and they had good seafood) in St. Simons just to hear them play one more time. They were magnificent just as I remembered. I just love Charlotte's voice and her song writing is tops, and the things Matt can do with his guitars and mixers is just amazing. So now I'm home with some new cd's and wishing I could hear them live again just one more time before she leaves.

Alright so what was on the agenda today. well i worked on those special order notebook for Marla.
i got some cute crafting kits up at TheCraftersBoutique.etsy.com. they have lots of vintage goody's in them, plus lot's and lot's of other crafty nicks and nacks.
and thats about all for today. oh but i did get my Red velvet quilt kit on Saturday! i was so excited to put this thing together. i had the quit top put together and pined by the time i went to sleep Saturday night, and i had it finished by Sunday evening for Justin and i to snuggle under while we watched some movies . I'm so ready to put the next quilt together! Justins excited too! we are gonna go together to goodwill and pick out all the fabrics! super fun fun fun!
i did change the muslin quit back that came with the kit out for that cute owl print i got at urban outfitters a few weeks ago. i think that was a great move . makes it have a little more of my personality. 
well go head over to the shop, all updates have been made for today!
Today is my sweet husbands 28th birthday! soooo, i made him breakfast in bed, eggs in a basket (buttered bread with the center cut out and filled back in with an egg and cooked like a grilled cheese , just in case you didn't know) orange slices and coffee. He was very happy with his breakfast. Tonight I'm making yellow curry with chicken, mumm.............. hope he gets home early from work!

on another note . here are some super cute vintage greeting cards i got last week . I'll be making up some ephemera kits for the shop and putting some of them up for sale. so be looking for that update also. 
i put a 4 up in my title and some how when i saved it it disappeared , i don't feel like fixing it tonight so it will just have to stay that way .
I love that show! So after watching it all day yesterday, it's no surprise I was inspired to create this little beauty. I've had this dress form for like two years now and I'm so happy to have her done.
It was a nice distraction from my work that is waiting for me on the kitchen table. Although I'm sure all you ladies in etsy land would like me to finish ;)

I love being American, and I WILL do my part to help restore government control to the people of this United States of America by voting for Ron Paul in the republican primaries in my state and supporting him in the race for office in 2008. I refuse to be a victim of big government any longer. I have a right to my labors( money/income), my property, and to do as I please with my body/person with out fear of consequence from any government entity. if you have any comment please feel free to leave them negitive or positive, it's your RIGHT to express them. I will address them the best I can.
First Amendment – Establishment clause, freedom of religion, speech, and press, and peaceable assembly as well as the right to petition the government.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Second Amendment – Right to keep and bear arms.

Sixth Amendment – Trial by jury and other rights of the accused.

winnie got her pin out today! and the doctor said she's ready for all the ball playing she wants. she did have to get some more stitches though from where they took out the pin, but she managed to chew them out before i got there to pick her up, luckly i noticed as we where walking out and Dr. nunn put staples in instead. winnie is very happy to be back home now and spending lots of quality time with her mommy.
