so i had happy email today

A minor accomplishment in the scrapbook industry but anything is something to be proud of . one of my layouts made it on to the inspiration section of the scrapbook.com newsletter. they don't tell you those things ahead of time so it was a happy surprise when i opened my email {^_^}. it's my cute house layout that's in the above post(* i had a link but when i checked it, it took me to my email and as much as i love you guys i don't want you there ; )
anywho that was my good news my not bad but kind of sad news is I'm off the inspire me card kits DT. Dannie needed a change and sadly i was not to be a part of it. but i will not linger on this i take it as a sign that i needed a change too. guess I'll need to be frequenting pub calls now ; P

what i did today. 1/6/2007

well i cleaned out most of the day. then i cleaned a little house then i went to walmart and got these for a dollar each. and a couple of these for $.88 each. then a made this for hubby because he's been in recipe inventing mode latelynow i'm playing with this and cleaning at the same time,oh and talking to you guys :)

this makes me so happy!!!!!!!!

my new shelves! $14.95 each and a can of black spray paint from Micheal's and I'm in heaven and I'm only out $35.00. but I'm dieing to go get some more. i'm thinking ill but two more next to these three more on the opposite side of the room.

that feels good to say and do! i did these for nothing more than to please myself. true loves kiss is using fancy pants and autunm leaves stamps. adored is using karen foster and doodlelay from autunm leaves, and last but not least determination is using superstar by rhonna farrer and a doodlelay both by autunm leaves.

and once you can do something like this in an hour and a half i think you got skills; ) I'm sorry i don't really mean to brag. i have not been this proud of a project in a while. when some thing comes together for me this quickly and looks this good i can't help but be a little giddy. i love this box! to bad it's not for me to keep : ( it's for one of my students , Susie, she's a really nice lady that has been having a hard time right now. she hurt her hand at work and has not been able to work, and the prognosis is not really going her way. she may have to have surgery on her hand and its in a tight area so one mistake and she may loose use of it : ( we are working on a tin class for the store and she spied it the other day when she was in. so when she called to tell me she would be in class she mentioned that she wanted me to help her with a recipe one. anyway to wrap this up i hope this will put a smile on her face. She needs someone to do something nice for her. Anywhoo the tin is maya road, letter stickers are S.E.I, everything else is ki memories grateful. tfl!

as for me i have 2 classes that I'm working on!

the one half finished is a wildcats (our home town high school if your not from st marys) mini book. we will be using the *new cat chipboard book from Maya road plus a lot of our specialty paper that we have printed with the name of the high school on it. it should be a blast to but together in class! and then a Karen foster Thanksgiving page that i have not started.
