Christmas card class at Scrapbook heaven

this is a card class that i will be teaching dec. 6th and 7th . we will be using ki memories joyful and alpine pattern paper, also heidi swapp rubons to embellish. the cost for this class is $18 i believe and we will be making all 6 cards.

Today was a Good day.

I had a Sold out class and i sold a whole but load of maya road and ki memories because of that tin i did for susie. i am just amazed by this. anyway thats about all for today i'm pretty tired so night!

and once you can do something like this in an hour and a half i think you got skills; ) I'm sorry i don't really mean to brag. i have not been this proud of a project in a while. when some thing comes together for me this quickly and looks this good i can't help but be a little giddy. i love this box! to bad it's not for me to keep : ( it's for one of my students , Susie, she's a really nice lady that has been having a hard time right now. she hurt her hand at work and has not been able to work, and the prognosis is not really going her way. she may have to have surgery on her hand and its in a tight area so one mistake and she may loose use of it : ( we are working on a tin class for the store and she spied it the other day when she was in. so when she called to tell me she would be in class she mentioned that she wanted me to help her with a recipe one. anyway to wrap this up i hope this will put a smile on her face. She needs someone to do something nice for her. Anywhoo the tin is maya road, letter stickers are S.E.I, everything else is ki memories grateful. tfl!

elsie for one, for posting on her blog and giveing me a name to a song i've been in love with for months and months now. Justin fixed my flat iron! i love that man. he told me he was going to buy me a new one for Christmas and had done all the research for the best one. well he went to mess with mine to, well i don't really know but he knew i was real sad about it not working. anyway now it's working and I'm on cloud nine cause my hair is done this morning!

We have another Contest!!!!!!!!

Fancy pants finally responded, December will be Our Fancy Pants Layout Contest! i'll post details after i sit down with shannon and get every thing finalized.But i am just so excited that i HAD to tell some one. and hopefully we will also be haveing contests in january and febuary. i was getting nervous today because they had not responded that i started contacting some other companys. well at 6:00 (closing time) i got the EMAIL!!!!!!!!!!!! they would love to be our sponser and they will be sending our prizes this WEEK!!!!!!! and ofcourse we will match the prizes just like last time. anyway i was excited and had to tell you guys.

its true i totally love to see my husband smile when he gets home from work i love to have special things i KNOW he likes ready when he gets home. so for him i made chocolate chip cookies and bought him favorite milk. and a six pack of beer i know he likes (he's a one or two every few days or so kind of guy) so he can relax and watch his recorded football games.

not my bag. i believe i did OK but its just not inspiring to me, i mean ya i love nature (this totally sounded like a dumb blond) but its not my thing for finding that perfect shot. its disappointing for me to feel this way really i wish i could have an eye for everything. Lisa said she really liked them and shes awesome at nature photography.(i don't know what

else to say she is.) any way this is my better shots.

Whats on your Sunday Table!

so i want to know, what are you haveing for dinner tonight? we are having brown sugar glazed pork chops with rice and rudabagas.

two of which i just learned how to make today.

for the pork chops you will need:

3 to 6 pork chops

1TBLs brown sugar per chop

1TBLs margerine per chop

1 TBLs soy sauce

pich cayanne pepper

one clove garlic

salt and pepper to taste

preheat oven to 350.

place chops in a 9x13 bakeing pan (i used metal) salt and pepper to taste, mince garlic and rub in to chops (do this on both sides ) in a sauce pan melt brown sugar, margerine, soy sauce, and cayanne and blend together, this should take about 5min, you don't want to let it get to thick or it will be hard to use. pour a little on each chop, reserve about a quarter of the mixture. cover pan with foil and bake 20 min. remove foil. flip chops and add remainder of glaze, recover bake 10min. remove foil and bake addisonal 8 to 10 min for nice browning. serve with white rice and pan drippings

Last class of November!!!!!!!!!!!!

so it's not fully finished but it will be after tomorrow this one is great and i designed it to be interactive. my thought is that each member of the family can take a card from the pocket and write down what they are thankful for this year! love it! it was so fun to work with all this karen foster paper. i think this is going to be a saturday class since the last thursday is thankgiving!!!!!!!! oh my gosh where has this year gone. but i can't say i'm not looking forward to a new one : ) takes for looking!

oh man i am so excited about this, my kit for inspire me came today! i'm on 12x12 this month and do i have just the pics for this. Justin went snowboarding in canada a few years back so we have a couple pictures of that i have a pick of my mom and uncle iceskateing somewhere also that this would be perfect for. Plus i'm a winter clothaholic (yes even though it does not get that cold here, but hey it's cold to me!) so i figure i'll do a fun one just for me : ) i just love ki memories i'm hopeing we really do get the new petshop in in to the store! ummm ki! you can get these kits here www.inspiremecardkits.com love those girls!

My flat iron broke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and I'm freaking out! i guess I'll have to save up for another. man this blows. i can't do my hair so I'm sporting a curly mop on to of my head! my hair cut is really made to me strait. gees! i really really wish my iron would just work! you would think that a $140 flat iron would work like forever not just 4years! i mean come on! dude what am i supposed to do now!OK that's it. thanks for listening. end-

as for me i have 2 classes that I'm working on!

the one half finished is a wildcats (our home town high school if your not from st marys) mini book. we will be using the *new cat chipboard book from Maya road plus a lot of our specialty paper that we have printed with the name of the high school on it. it should be a blast to but together in class! and then a Karen foster Thanksgiving page that i have not started.

November DT work for Scrapbook Heaven

so this month at scrapbook heaven our kits featured some of the new lines from my minds eye. both of my layouts are using the signature suite "full of spunk" collection. i have to admit i really like the vintage look of this line from them very old looking its a nice change from all the bright colors I'm used to working with. thanks for looking!

so as the day closes and i wait for my husband to return home from work, i sit and ponder what is going on in my life, where am i going, will i be successful in my endeavors, can i really promote my self with a blog and a dream. for now the answer is Yes! i will push on and keep my spirits high. in an industry that even the best make very little, i have to think there is room for me. i am inspired and i can only hope that my actions will do the same for others.
my husband is a sceptic, but he keeps his faith in me. my water colored dreams will not fade with my tears. i will push on and hope for the best. and for all of you that happen to stumble upon i hope even if you don't like my work you will respect my ambition.

Thankful Photo Decor Class 11/15/2006 & 11/16/2006

OK guys I and soooo excited about doing this class! i got this idea from Jenni Bowlin's paper project this month (i just love her work ) and its not as hard as it looks. this is the prefect project to give as a gift to grand parents or keep it for yourself to dress up the mantel for the holidays! Class will be $15.00 and we will be doing it Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 12:30 and Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 as always. you will need to bring your glue, scissors, and paper trimmers as well as 6 to 8 photos.

This weeks class at Scrapbook Heaven 11/7/2006 & 11/8/2006

hey guys just thought i would let you know about the class I'll be teaching this week over at scrapbook heaven ,Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 12:30 and Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00.
